The Tortoise and the Hare Sculpture |
|
The Tortoise and the Hare was created by Nancy Quiny
Schon in 1994 and installed in Copley Square, at Boylston
Street and Darmouth Street, in May 1995. The 2-piece larger
than life silicone bronze sculptures depicting the popular
Aesop's Fable stands near the finish line for the Boston
Marathon, in tribute to the runners from all over the world
who have participated in the famous race.
