Adam Smith Monument

Adam Smith (1723 – 1790) was a Scottish social philosopher and a pioneer of political economy.

A large-scale memorial of Smith by Alexander Stoddart was unveiled on 4 July 2008 in Edinburgh. It is a 10 feet tall bronze sculpture and it stands above the Royal Mile outside St Giles' Cathedral in Parliament Square.
